Sunday, October 8, 2017 – 11:30 am – 2:30 pm
(Rain Date: October 15th, 2017)
Mark your social calendar for Harper’s biggest event of the year! It’s a day of family fun that includes carnival rides, games, prizes, a raffle, a petting zoo, pony rides, music and more. The more the merrier, so spread the word — non-Harper friends are more than welcome, too!
Our pre-sale has ended, but not to worry, you can still buy tickets at the door. Ticket prices include carnival rides, pony rides, petting zoo, games, prizes, face painting and more.
Ticket Prices after 9/29 and at the door:
Children age 3 and up: $17
Toddlers under 3 are free.
We still have some t-shirts left, which can be purchased at the door while quantities last.
Harper Hoedown T-Shirt: $10 (Includes five prize tickets at the door)
Available in youth sizes: XS, S, M, L
Come hungry. Lunch items will be available to purchase with food tickets. Choose from pizza, hot dogs, pulled pork or pulled chicken sandwiches, apple juice, water, and snacks (menu subject to change).
$1 = 1 ticket / Entree + Snack + Drink = $8-9 or 8-9 tickets
Feeling lucky? Then head on over to our raffle table, chock-full of local business prize bundles like Family Fun Bundle, Sports Lover’s Bundle, Ladies Primping Bundle, and Food and Friends Bundle (final raffle items TBD). At the Hoedown, you place your ticket(s) into the bundle(s) you wish to win, so you only win what you like. Boost your odds with our three-pack ticket deal.
1 for $10 or 3 for $20 (Buy two and get one FREE deal!)
Note: The Harper Hoedown is not a fundraiser. Ticket prices cover the cost of the Hoedown. Any profits go to Ignite and next year’s Hoedown.
WE STILL NEED VOLUNTEERS
While the Hoedown committee works for months to organize this event, it’s the parents who volunteer at the Hoedown who are the real heroes. This event cannot take place without you! We’ve set up short time slots so everyone can volunteer and still enjoy the Hoedown. If you’re new to Harper, it’s a great way to meet other parents. If you have younger kids, you might want to volunteer to set up before the event. If you have older Harper students and this ain’t your first rodeo, please sign up for a slot or two during the event. If you have a pre-teen or teen alumni, sign them up as well – they love running the games! To register for a time slot or two, please use our Sign Up Genius. We very much appreciate any time you can give.
DONATIONS STILL NEEDED FOR THE PRIZE TENT
The prize tent is a HUGE hit with the kids. They earn tickets playing the games, which they can redeem for prizes. Please donate any gently used/clean stuffed animals (like all the ones from the summer carnivals) or small toys/goody bag items (things you get in birthday party goody bags are perfect!) any time prior to the event. Prizes go quickly, so we need LOTS of them! It’s a perfect excuse to clear out bedrooms, playrooms and closets. Please do not include ripped or stained stuffed animals. If you have questions about what is appropriate to donate, please don’t hesitate to call Nichole at 773-368-8422.
Items can be placed in the large donation bin in the Harper Lobby.
